Here are some tips for applying Vinyl Lettering, Large Decals and Vinyl Striping.  We use a solution of 99.9% water and a few drops of detergent soap, (to add lubricant to the water) and this works great. Mix it up in a squirt bottle to create a misty spray.  There is more than one way to apply wet so experimenting is a good idea. The easiest way to apply wet is to use the center hinge or top hinge method with masking tape, just like described in our installation video and directions on our web site:  mrletter.com.    When you are ready to apply the lettering, spray the application surface with the soapy water solution and squeegee down the lettering.  Press hard and water will come out of sides. Do the same on the other side if you are doing a center hinge.  If you are doing a large decal do the same but use more solution; don’t be worried about making the surface too wet because large decals apply best with soupy water. Squeegee down from the center out to get all the water out. When removing application tape, be careful because the decal may want to come up. Re-squeegee it down and wait a few minutes so it can dry a bit. If you’re still having issue, (and you may with either decals or vinyl lettering) spray the soupy solution on the front of the application tape and work it in with your hand. The water will soak through the application tape and cause the glue to let go of the decal or letters. Now remove tape, it will do so easily at this point.  You’re done. MSK
